very beautiful shot! but I am curious as to why you shot it at such a high ISO? There would be much less noise with 100-200ISO...

its true that lower ISO makes less noise. but as you see i have a exposure at 6 seconds, and with lower ISO the time had to be longer, and the Aurora would bee washed out. the aurora had weak brightness and was active at this moment, and one second exposure would be optimal.
this is the best i could do with my equipment.

The utter scale in this photo is...awe inspiring. Wow. It truely is an immense spectacle.

I really like that you left the far city in the picture, it really gives a sense of scale to compare the lights to.

I've never gotten the chance to see the northern lights, let alone when they're in action, but this certainly takes me a step closer.

Well, you feel really small locking up when the Aurora starts.
To put a little civilication in the photo, give a clue about the size.
And its never dull watching it!
