Artist's Comments

Using my 20mm/1,8 to take some pictures of the night sky.
Iso 1600/30s, and 5 images stitched together.
This is a 25% of original.

I'm always impressed (and shocked) when I realize the enormous distances in the space.
Here I have couth both Andromeda galaxy and a part of our own Milky Way.
I never get tired of staring up!
So much to look for and wonder about…

When I look up in the sky at night, I'm lucky to see much of anything. It's amazing to me (sadley) that there are places out there that allow you such a view. A place where you can see the rest of your galaxy as you teeter on the very outer reaches of it..and yet, you can still see another galaxy light years away. Awe inspiring? apparently.

This is a great image.

the desolation of the void -- the
one thing that makes the vastness
tolerable is each other.

The one thing that makes it bearable
is love.'
